Expo High School

Expo, since its inception in 1973, has been the Waterloo Community School District's alternative school. Expo started at 222 Commercial Street in an empty building with 25 to 40 students and moved to the Emerson school building in 1975. Expo soon outgrew that building and moved to its present location, Hawthorne, in 1983. Expo continues to serve 230 students quarterly, who for a wide range of circumstances, do not succeed in a traditional high school.
